Pangandam Alang sa Pagpanarbaho

As part of its ongoing mission to bridge education with meaningful employment, the Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) recently hosted a successful two-day career and job preparation event, Pangandam Alang sa Pagpanarbaho 2025. The event was held on May 22–23, 2025, at the ASSCAT Sports and Socio-Cultural Center and drew wide participation from graduating students, alumni, employers, and partner organizations.

The Career and Job Placement Services under the Office of the Student Affairs and Services, in close collaboration with the Alumni Relations Office of ASSCAT, spearheaded the initiative to provide students with essential tools and opportunities as they transition from college life into the professional world.

The event was graced by our very own College President, Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, who inspired the graduating class with words of encouragement and a compelling call to excellence.

Day 1 was dedicated to the Pre-Employment Seminar, where our future graduates were equipped with essential skills, practical knowledge, and professional insights. Expert speakers and resource persons from diverse sectors shared valuable advice to help students navigate the realities of today’s workforce. Topics included résumé writing, interview techniques, professional etiquette, and strategies for long-term career growth.

Day 2 opened doors to over a hundred job opportunities during the Job Fair. In partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), the event brought together private companies and government agencies eager to connect with ASSCAT graduates and alumni. Many job seekers were able to engage in on-the-spot interviews, giving them immediate access to potential employment.

This initiative advances the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 on Quality Education, Goal 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Goal 17 on Partnerships for the Goals—underscoring ASSCAT’s commitment to inclusive, relevant, and transformative education.

Throughout the two-day event, the enthusiasm and determination of the ASSCAT graduating class were evident. With strong support from faculty, administrators, and external partners, Pangandam Alang sa Pagpanarbaho 2025 became more than just a career event—it became a milestone that celebrated the transition from education to employment.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participating students, alumni, partner organizations, speakers, and employers. Your unwavering support continues to open doors and shape futures as ASSCATians ARISE, ASCEND, and SOAR with purpose.
