Flame Ignited: PASIGRABO 2024 Kicks Off in Style!

Today marks the grand opening of PASIGARBO 2024 at ASSCAT! Running from September 11 to September 13, this year’s intramurals began with a burst of energy and excitement.

 

The festivities commenced with a vibrant parade through the campus this afternoon. Students proudly carried their college banners, while faculty and staff also participated, bringing the banner for the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.

 

The morning was filled with engaging sports and arts events, and the campus echoed with cheers as each college presented their spirited “Saludo.”

 

The Saliao Performing Arts Guild launched the celebration with a “flaming opening salvo.” MASTS and National Qualifiers athletes of ASSCAT carried and relay the torch around the oval, culminating in a symbolic handoff to College President Dr. Joy Capistrano. With a spark, Dr. Capistrano ignited the ceremonial cauldron, officially declaring PASIGARBO open.

 

Faculty, staff, Vice Presidents, Directors, and Deans all joined in the celebration and festivities.

 

As the vibrant celebration continues, students are showcasing their impressive talents and sportsmanship. PASIGARBO 2024 is brought to life by the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, led by VP Janice Dini-ay, in collaboration with the ASSCAT-Supreme Student Government, led by Student Trustee Hon. Justine Dela Peña, and the Asscat Socio-Cultural and Arts Office, under the direction of Prof. Ferdinand Dumalagan alongside sir Gil Vincent Ebardo, ASSCAT Sports Coordinator.
