Bunawan Launches Pasko ng Bayan 2024 with a Festive Soft Opening

The Municipality of Bunawan officially kicked off its annual Pasko ng Bayan 2024 festivities with a dazzling soft opening last Friday night, November 15, featuring the highly anticipated Light Up a Place contest. Government agencies and municipal departments pulled out all the stops, showcasing creative Christmas symbols and themes to spread holiday cheer.

The Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) faculty and staff showed their full support, led by College President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, along with the institution’s vice presidents, directors, and unit heads. Dr. Capistrano commended the Local Government Unit of Bunawan for organizing this early celebration, which not only fosters community spirit but also boosts tourism and economic activity in the municipality.

“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the organizing team, headed by Municipal Mayor Sylvia B. Elorde and Vice Mayor Gilbert G. Elorde, for their dedication and creativity in making this event a success,” ASSCAT shared in a statement.
