ASSCAT Partners with CAPSU, UNO-R, and Kasetsart University to Advance Agricultural Innovation

Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, College President, attended the Investiture Ceremony of Dr. Efren L. Linan as the 4th President of Capiz State University held at the Dadivas Gymnasium of CAPSU Main Campus in Roxas City on December 20, 2024. The event, which marks a new chapter for the institution, celebrated Dr. Linan’s leadership and commitment to advancing CAPSU’s educational and research programs.

 

In addition to the investiture ceremony, Dr. Capistrano attended the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a Letter of Intent (LOI) that formalized a groundbreaking partnership between Capiz State University and three prestigious institutions: Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT), Kasetsart University-Thailand and the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, Inc. The collaboration focuses on advancing tropical agriculture and innovative agricultural systems.

 

This partnership is expected to promote greater academic exchange, collaborative research, and technological innovations aimed at addressing the challenges of modern agriculture in the region.

 

Dr. Capistrano, a strong advocate for education and sustainable agricultural development, expressed her optimism that this initiative would bring significant benefits to both the academic communities and the agricultural sector.
