ASSCAT Joins Bunawan LGU Sportsfest in Celebration of the 124th Civil Service Anniversary

In celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Municipality of Bunawan opened its annual LGU Sportsfest with a burst of energy and camaraderie. Government agencies and local departments gathered to join the festivities, which kicked off with a lively Hataw Zumba session, getting everyone moving and ready for the action ahead.

 

Municipal Mayor Sylvia B. Elorde, along with Vice Mayor Gilbert G. Elorde, officially launched the Sportsfest, setting the tone for a fun yet competitive day. Cheers echoed across the grounds as participants took their pledge of fair play, immediately followed by a banner racing event that had the crowd roaring in excitement.

 

A highlight of the event was the search for Mr. & Ms. Sportsfest, where ASSCAT proudly represented by Ms. Sofia Gold Commendador, clinched the 1st runner-up title and Mr. Jade Cuartero placing as 2nd runner-up.

 

Adding to the day’s highlights, the Mass Dance Showdown brought teams from various departments and agencies together, turning up the excitement. With more games and sports activities lined up, the Sportsfest will continue to deliver fun and competition until September 20, 2024.
