ASSCAT Celebrates 29th Commencement: Dr. Marita R. Canapi Inspires Graduates to Embrace Innovation and Excellence

Today, June 28, 2024, marked a significant milestone as Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) celebrated its 29th Commencement Exercises at the ASSCAT Sports and Sociocultural Center. The event was graced by Dr. Marita R. Canapi, Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Chairperson of the ASSCAT Board of Trustees, who virtually delivered an inspiring message to the Punhik Class of 2024.

 

Dr. Canapi’s address underscored the importance of access, quality, and competitiveness in higher education. She highlighted ASSCAT’s role in empowering graduates through initiatives aligned with global standards and sustainable development goals. She encouraged the 1,091 graduates to embrace excellence, innovate boldly, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

 

The ceremony, under the theme “Harnessing Innovation and Empowering the Future of ASSCAT Graduates,” showcased the institution’s commitment to nurturing a culture of innovation. Present at the ceremony were ASCAT faculty and staff, including Deans, Directors, and the Vice Presidents, led by College President Joy C. Capistrano. They joined in celebrating the accomplishments of the graduates who are now prepared to embark on their professional journeys and make a positive impact on society.
